**The Role: SEO & Web Development Specialist**

At GIANT Creative, performance drives everything we do. This role sits at the intersection of SEO and web development, ensuring that our clients’ websites aren’t just beautiful, but built to rank, convert, and scale. You’ll work alongside our Director of Performance Strategy to execute high-performing SEO strategies aimed at measurable business results. You’ll also dive under the hood to develop, optimize, and maintain websites with best-in-class coding practices and technical SEO implementation. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in both the analytical and technical space: part strategist, part developer, and 100% performance-driven.

**What You’ll Be Responsible For**:

- SEO Strategy & Execution_
- Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap audits.
- Implement on-page SEO/GEO best practices (structure, metadata, schema markup).
- Build and execute technical SEO/GEO strategies, including site architecture, crawl optimization, mobile responsiveness, and site speed enhancements.
- Monitor and analyze site performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GA4 and customer CRM data.
- Conduct comprehensive backlink analysis to evaluate link quality, identify new opportunities, and proactively monitor link health to protect and improve search performance
- Develop and executehigh-quality link-building strategies to strengthen domain authority, boost referral traffic, and improve overall search visibility.
- Integrate accessibility best practices (AODA/WCAG compliance) into SEO recommendations, ensuring sites are optimized for performance, usability, and legal compliance without compromising speed or ranking.
- Proactively stay informed on algorithm updates, search trends, and emerging SEO innovations to ensure strategies remain effective and competitive.
- Web Development & Optimization_
- Work within CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow) to implement both front-end and back-end optimizations.
- Ensure websites are technically sound — optimized for speed, mobile performance, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with design and creative teams to bring wireframes and UI/UX concepts to life while maintaining SEO best practices.
- Troubleshoot site errors, conduct QA testing, and implement fixes proactively.
- CDN and security optimization (Cloudflare)
- Collaboration & Performance Alignment_
- Partner with the Director of Performance Strategy to align website builds with broader SEO and paid media initiatives.
- Support creative and content teams by providing SEO recommendations for blogs, landing pages, and campaigns.
- Analyze SEO performance data and provide actionable recommendations and optimizations across multiple clients and SEO environments.

**What You Bring**
- Experience & Background_
- 3+ years in SEO strategy and technical SEO implementation.
- 3+ years in front-end and/or back-end web development (agency experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of:

- SEO tools: Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console
- Analytics: GA4, Looker Studio (Data Studio).
- CMS platforms: WordPress (required), Shopify
- Coding languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, React is a plus.
- Hosting environments, DNS, CDN (Cloudflare), and site migration processes.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
