**Full-Time, Seasonal**:
Do you have a green thumb? Do you have a passion for flowers, plants, trees, and shrubs? Do you love the fresh air and a workplace that offers incredible mountain views? You’ll be eager for the opportunities available with our Municipal Parks team this summer to “Take Care of Banff” by maintaining our trails, flowers, and perennial beds.

**Position Overview**:
As a summer seasonal laborer, your duties will include:

- Watering, planting, deadheading, and weeding
- Assisting with tree removals and maintenance
- General care for our flowers and plants
- Trail maintenance and litter picking
- Delivery of special events equipment
- Other maintenance functions necessary to keep our public spaces and parks in the best possible condition for our residents’ and visitors’ enjoyment

**Qualifications and Attributes**:

- Experience driving vehicles up to a one-ton classification
- Work experience in grounds and/or landscaping is an asset
- Knowledge of workplace safety programs
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting (50lbs), carrying, and long periods of walking, standing, and working in all weather conditions
- Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license
- A current and clean driver’s abstract (required on employment start date)
- An air brake certification is a definite asset

The rate of pay is between $22.00/hour and $25.00/hour depending on experience. When you complete the term of your contract, in its entirety, you will be awarded a $1.00 per hour bonus (to be paid on your final pay cheque) for each regular hour worked.
