**Job Summary**
We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team at the Centre for Neurology Studies (CNS). The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, initiation, coordination, and implementation of several clinical trials and research activities for the CNS.
**Responsibilities**
- Schedule participants and/or clinical staff for virtual and in-person study visits.
- Work one-on-one with healthy individuals and those with various neurological impairments.
- Perform clinical trial outcome measures, including cognitive assessments and questionnaires, with study participants.
- Run EEG (electroencephalography) brain scans for research (training provided).
- Submit clinical research documents to research ethics boards and regulatory bodies (e.g. Health Canada).
- Find creative ways to engage with various clinical populations in the community and online to support trial recruitment.
- Identify and screen potential participants and obtain informed consent.
- Record and organize detailed documentation of study-related information (e.g. screening logs, data collection forms, incidences of adverse events and protocol deviations)
- Ensure study data is accurate, audit-ready, and entered and stored appropriately.
- Ensure study activities are performed in accordance with each individual protocol, internal SOPs, ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines, Health Canada guidelines, ISO standards, as well as REB and Sponsor policies and procedures, as appropriate.
- Ensure continuous support to investigators in the delivery of up-to-date activities and information, confirming priorities and timeframes of research projects.
- Attend and participate in relevant team meetings.
- Representing the company at various conferences, events, and community outreach initiatives
- Supervise students and volunteers, within the scope of specific projects, as appropriate.
- Write, edit, and submit research manuscripts to scientific journals and conferences.
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing and promotional initiatives (e.g. for study recruitment).
- Perform other related duties as required.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Pharmaceutical (drug) trial experience preferred.
- CRC certification is an asset, but not required.
- Previous research administration experience
- Understanding of clinical research ethics policies and good clinical practice guidelines (GCP certification preferred)
- Blood drawing, processing and/or shipping experience is an asset, but not required.
- IATA or TDG certification in the shipping of dangerous goods an asset, but not required.
