Electro-Mechanical Technician
**Location**:Mississauga, Ontario, Canada - near Hwy #401 and Dixie Road

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Provide customers with phone support for assistance in troubleshooting challenges that clients may be facing whether related to mechanical, electrical, or automation areas
- Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams and share information across the organization
- Read blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and schematics to troubleshoot equipment
- Prepare reports or analysis of product failure trends and service issues
- Provide support by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, as well as recommending system & safety improvements
- Make improvement recommendations that can reduce cost, decrease downtime, and enhance safety.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with customers and vendors
- This position is primarily an in-office position but travel to client sites for service and commissioning may be required on an infrequent basis
- This position will require an extended **on-call** availability up to 8pm through the week
- Provide phone support to clients and dealers in other time zones
- Record and follow up with service issues as necessary
- Compensation for this portion of employment is separate from your regular salary and will be paid at an on-call rate with an additional rate should a call come in
**Qualification and Experience**:
- **MUST**have a strong Electro-Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience
- **MUST** have hands on experience with building, laying out, and wiring of an electrical panel
- **MUST** be proficient with AutoCAD (2018 and up)
- **MUST** be familiar with HMI programming (Vijeo/EcoStruxure)
- **MUST** be familiar with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Schnieder, etc.)
- **MUST**be familiar with ladder logic programming
- Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code
- 3-5 years of experience in a field related to heavy duty machinery or electrical/automation design preferred
- Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in an electrical, electro-mechanical, or automation discipline
**Additional Required Competencies**:
- Valid drivers licence
- Familiarity with using heavy equipment (forklift, telehandler, scissor lift, genie boom etc.) is an asset but not mandatory as you will receive training as necessary
