Toronto, Canada HVN Solutions Full time

The Lead SDET will be responsible for guiding a mixed team of offshore and onshore resources, driving the development of test frameworks, automating tests, and leading the testing efforts to support our agile development process.

**This is a Hybrid position, requiring 3x/week onsite (near Union)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber. Enhance and expand the existing testing frameworks to accommodate new features and improvements.
- Utilize Jenkins and other DevOps tools to integrate testing suites into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that testing is an integral part of the development process.
- Lead and mentor a team of 2 offshore and 2 onshore testing resources. Assign work, manage test priorities, and oversee the team’s deliverables to ensure quality and efficiency in test execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the testing team with project teams and business groups. Use exceptional communication skills to discuss requirements, report on testing progress, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Leverage deep technical expertise in test automation and software quality assurance principles to guide the team in best practices and innovative testing strategies.

**Requirements**:

- **Education & Experience**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automated testing.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in Java, Selenium, and Cucumber for test automation.
- Experience with Jenkins and incorporating testing into DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and Cypress is a plus.
- Strong understanding of procedures and statements for writing effective test scripts and frameworks.
- **Leadership Skills**: Proven team leadership experience, with the ability to manage mixed teams of offshore and onshore resources. Strong organizational skills to assign work, manage priorities, and handle team intakes effectively.
- **Communication Skills**: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with project teams, business groups, and technical stakeholders.
- **Domain Knowledge (Asset)**: Prior experience or strong understanding of trade finance or payables/receivables finance domains.
