Our company culture embraces diversity, inclusion and overall work-life balance.In this role, you will perform a variety of analysis and design functions for transportation projects that include roads, highways, interchanges, tollways, for both conventional and design/build projects for projects in several different states. You will be expected to utilize client specifications and engineering standards to complete proposed designs and collaborate with other engineers and clients to finalize and complete highway and road designs for Canadian projects.
Responsibilities:Works with a team to develop the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements.This includes defining the problem, confirming

the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.Will perform basic geometric design of road and highway systems across Western Canada. This may include other transportation modalities including bus rapid transit, light-rail transit, cycling, and pedestrian based alignments.Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.Provides support for other engineering activities as required.May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)Some related work experience and/or internships preferred In addition, an Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferredRequires basic process engineering knowledge, as well as a working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineeringExperience with the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and/or Alberta Transportation is preferred.The position may require a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief as required by federal, state, provincial or local mandates or customer requirements.
