**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team. The Kennel Assistant will play a vital role in providing care and support to the animals in our facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Feed, water, and monitor the well-being of animals
- Clean kennels, cages, and animal living areas
- Complete animal intakes as required
- Walk dogs and provide exercise and socialization
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Assist with grooming and bathing of animals
- Provide basic first aid when necessary
- Interact with potential adopters, pet owners, the public and provide excellent customer service
- Collect payments and donations as required entering the transactions into shelterluv
- Organize stock and community donations
- Perform other cleaning and duties as assigned by Supervisiors

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job up to 75 lbs
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices
- Comfortable working with all types of animals including ones that are distressed, scared, or injured

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week
