**About this opportunity**

Under the direction of the Kitting Manager, this position is mainly responsible for moving product to and from various drop zones, throughout departments, and transporting the completed product to shipping. This position is located in Aurora, ON.

**What you will do**
- Operate a Walkie Forklift and/or pump truck;
- To fill out daily safety checklists of Walkie/lift equipment;
- Make sure skids are organized throughout the department and keep all areas clean & tidy;
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on the equipment, in order to keep it performing at optimal levels;
- Maintain quality standards as per written or verbal instructions and follow all SOP’s applicable to the work assigned;
- Perform all other duties as requested by Management in order to help the team effort.
- Work as part of a team, follow and adhere to Transcontinental’s code of ethics and participate in the Continuous Improvements efforts;
- Fully understand and adhere to all relevant Environmental, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Quality, Security and Company policies and procedures;
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario, the Workplace Safety Insurance Act and all other applicable legislated environmental, health & safety regulations;
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

**What you have to offer**
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
- Have a valid Powered Pallet Truck/Walkie Forklift Certification;
- Exceptional attention to detail and good command of the English language (read, write, speak) with respect to:

- understanding and following all verbal and written instructions;
- completing paperwork and requisitioning of materials accurately and efficiently;
- complying with safety procedures and processes;
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills;
- Able to work in a team oriented environment;
- Flexible and quality driven;
- Physical demands include pushing and pulling of product and the ability to lift a minimum 30lbs unassisted;
- Available to work overtime as required.
