Hostess/host

We are seeking **courteous and organized Hosts**. This position can be **full-time or part-time (minimum 3 shifts/week)** and the hourly pay includes **tips**.

**Hosts** are essential in supporting the restaurant's vision for consistent, high-quality service and ensure that it is delivered in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.

Experience with **Open Table, Food Delivery Systems **(Uber Eats, Skip The Dishes, etc.) an **asset**.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**
- Greeting guests upon arrival and upholding a friendly and respectful demeanour in all other interactions with guests throughout their dining experience
- Consistently demonstrate hospitality and attention to detail when engaging with guests
- Handle guest complaints following exceptional customer service standards
- Maintaining the speed, and efficiency of seating guests to properly control the flow of service
- Perform delegated tasks from General Manager, Chef and Sous Chef
- Taking feedback from diners and effectively communicating it with management promptly
- Creating creative and effective solutions to guest complaints, with grace, calm and professionalism
- Operating the phones and answering any inquiries or requests
- Taking, organizing, and confirming reservations; seating guests in the appropriate section of the restaurant
- Proficiently using a POS system to input takeout orders
- Handling cash, gift card, debit, and credit card payments, if required
- Adhering to all restaurant standards as it pertains to cleaning and sanitation
- Working in a team and independently to fulfill primary duties in addition to side cleaning duties
- Adheres to the restaurants uniform, hygiene and grooming standards at all times

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1- 2 years minimum of hosting experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Skilled at working within a team to provide consistent service to guests.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Paying great attention to detail, cleanliness, and ability to follow health and safety protocols.
