We provide a legal, compliant pathway access to licensed commercial kitchens or approved home kitchens, training and food-safety support, and delivery/logistics handled end-to-end, so cooks can focus on flavour. **Role Description**

Our Rising HomeCook Plan is a gentle runway for emerging cooks who don’t yet have a commercial kitchen, business registration, or startup funds. You bring your recipes and heart; we bring licensed kitchens, training, mentors, delivery/marketing support, and light admin help to get you certified and set up. Over 3-6 months you’ll cook real orders, learn safe/compliant workflows, and build a simple brand with guidance. Hit your milestones and graduate to our Pro HomeCooks Plan - more independence, bigger upside, same community at your back.

**What You'll Earn**:

- Guaranteed base pay: $17.60/hr.
- 40% commission on every order you fulfill.
- Income security while you grow your brand.

**What We Need From You?**
- Proficient in home-style cooking techniques and recipes.
- 2-3 signature dishes you can produce consistently (home-style or cultural cuisine).
- Hygiene & allergen awareness: labeling, cross-contamination control, clean workstation habits.
- Organization: batch prep, portioning, inventory, and on-time pickups/deliveries.
- Reliability & communication: shows up for scheduled kitchen blocks; follows SOPs; quick responses in app.
- Tech-friendly: comfortable using The HomeTaste app for orders, training, and updates.

**Must Haves**
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or temporary resident with a valid work permit (open or employer-specific) that remains valid for the full 3-6 month program.
- Food safety basics; Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- Based in / able to commute to Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge-Guelph partner kitchens.

- Month 1-3: Learn, cook, earn guaranteed income + commission.
- Month 3-6: Build your customer base and brand with our support.
- After 6 months: Graduate to our Pro HomeCooks Plan as an independent business owner earning 85% of sales.
