Maintenance & Machine Shop Staff

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspect equipment for wear or defects, and replace or repair parts when needed.
- Operate and program CNC machines and PLC systems to complete assigned tasks.
- Carry out welding and fabrication work as required for repairs or projects.
- Complete basic electrical and plumbing repairs on machinery and facility systems.
- Source and order parts or materials required for maintenance or fabrication jobs.
- Build tools, jigs, and fixtures to support production and maintenance activities.
- Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment according to layout plans.
- Rework or modify materials or components to meet production requirements.
- Follow warehouse and inventory procedures for parts, tools, and supplies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
**Qualifications**
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Skilled in operating standard machine shop tools and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems is considered an asset.
- Physically capable of standing or walking for most of the shift.
- Able to lift, carry, bend, twist, and stoop frequently (up to 25 lbs, with assistance when required).
- Comfortable pushing or pulling heavy tools and equipment with co-worker support.
- Frequent head and neck movement required during machine operation.
- Strong focus on safety and commitment to following all workplace safety procedures.
- Available to begin work immediately or as soon as possible.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
