**Mobile Preventative Maintenance Yard Technician**

The Mobile PM Yard Technician is responsible for servicing/repairing SOUTHLAND school buses in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. This position is not confined to shop activities, as the Mobile PM Yard Technician is required to perform field work on down buses.

**Hours of work**: This is a compressed work week position. Hours of work are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break each day. Overtime will be paid if hours exceed 44 hours in a work week, in accordance with Employment Standards.
- Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses
- Travelling between multiple yards to perform Preventative Maintenance scheduling
- Diagnosing equipment problems
- Spring and winter maintenance
- Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs
- Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities
- Follow SOUTHLAND procedures and guidelines
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

**Requirements**:

- Must hold a valid Journeyman Ticket
- 4th-year apprentice will also be considered
- Own hand tools
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- 2 - 5 years related experience
- Valid Driver’s License (Class 3 or 2 considered an asset)
- CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) License is considered an asset
- Exposure to working on diesel engines
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to comprehend/operate diagnostic and manual measuring tools, including micrometers, brake drum gauge, Ohmmeters, and AVR (Amps, Volts & Resistors)
- Computer proficiency

**Remuneration**
- Commensurate with experience
- Bi-weekly pay period (every second Friday)
