Reporting directly to the owner, you will contribute to projects from start to finish, ensuring precision, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service. As part of a small team, you will work primarily on job sites installing custom cabinets and millwork, while occasionally assisting in the shop with preparation and assembly.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Install custom cabinets and millwork in residential and commercial settings across the Ottawa region.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
- Measure, level, and adjust products as needed to achieve a precise fit and finish.
- Use trade practices and problem-solving skills to overcome site-specific challenges.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Load, unload, and manually handle cabinets and millwork components.
- Assist in the shop with assembly and preparation when required.
- Deliver projects on time while upholding the highest standards of workmanship.

**Prerequisites**
- Graduate of a relevant program (cabinetmaking, carpentry, millwork, woodworking) OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience.
- Proven experience in cabinet installation (residential and/or commercial).
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Experience identifying and resolving site issues to keep projects on track.
- Proficiency with installation tools, equipment, and safety practices.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver cabinets and millwork.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the shop and job sites.
- Experience in woodworking or millwork fabrication considered a strong asset.

**Conditions of employment**
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable access to a vehicle for travel to the shop and job sites across Ottawa (some locations are not accessible by public transit).
- Must be physically able to lift, carry, and maneuver cabinets and millwork materials up to 50 lbs.
- Must adhere to all workplace health and safety standards, including the proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) on job sites.

Pay: From $45.00 per hour
