**Who are you?**

We are looking for a Plant Operator who can monitor plant operations and systems, perform inspections, update logbooks, and inform management of any issues at our Lafarge CO2 carbon capture test facility. This is an on-site position.

**The Role**:Plant Operator

**Reports to**: Plant Manager

**Shifts Available**:

- 6:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m.
- 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

**Customers**:

- Lafarge Canada - Richmond B.C.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reports to plant site on required schedule.
- Complies with all Lafarge site rules, work practices, and safety protocol.
- Operate plant facilities within operating parameters and record all required data.
- Perform safety inspections and report all incidents/near misses in Salus Pro.
- Perform daily tasks in accordance with all posted policies and procedures.
- Perform startup/shutdown/emergency shutdown procedures as required.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks as per procedures.
- Communicate plant issues to management on a timely basis.

**Key Qualifications**:

- At least 2 years process/plant experience.
- Skills in troubleshooting and conducting minor plant maintenance.
- Safety Certification including First Aid, H2S Alive, WHMIS, Basic Firefighting (company will provide training if needed).
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills in establishing cooperative working relations both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- High level of initiative.
- Effective time management skills being able to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid drivers license and transportation to site.
