**Responsibilities**:
**Expectations**
- Open availability, able to work weekends especially friday & saturday
- 5 days a week, 8 or more hours
- Cover store as needed or hire to ensure consistent coverage
**Staffing**
- Train, develop, and coach team members;ensures all team members comply with company policies, procedure, and brand initiatives through training and communication.
- Recruit, hire and supervise staff
- Provides ongoing training and regular performance-based feedback to all team members, appropriate action plans to improve each individual's performance and productivity
- Providing warnings and write-ups as necessary
- Constructs a schedule for employees and manage their time off and time tracking; have schedule posted minimum 2 weeks ahead of time
- Ensure that store has adequate coverage when an employee calls out / is unable to make their shift
- Work with staff to set up best method of communication with the Store Manager when Store Manager is not in store
- Participate in a rotation as manager of the day
**Store duties**
- Oversees and delegates tasks to team to best maximize efficiency of store operations
- Provide customer-focused service; welcome customers and resolve both employee and customer queries and complaints; ensure all team members are upholding the customer service standard
- Perform and supervise daily procedures, such as handling shipments, merchandising, and cashier duties
- Review cashout reports on a weekly basis and communicate any discrepancies found and ensure that adequate change and small bills are on hand for the week
- Oversee store cleanliness and maintenance as per company _Merchandising and Cleanliness Standard _and ensure policy is upheld within the store
- Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
- Create a restock plan for the team lead to ensure that restocks are being done regularly
- Communicate and delegate task to your staff to ensure store needs are being met in the absence of the manager
- Attending and participating in meetings and training sessions
- Create and enforce a plan to ensure zoning is being met in stores
**Inventory Control and Merchandising**
- Ensure accurate inventory is maintained in the store
- Communicate store needs for more quantity or variety of product through the requisitions section in Spire
- Use tools and sales metrics to make merchandising and stocking decisions that benefit the store
- Ensure that store merchandising and window display is regularly refreshed
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
