This small but highly skilled team including some part-time staff, collaborates with social workers, clinical counsellors, psychologists, and psychiatrists. Working primarily in-office, the team partners with local agencies, schools, and health authorities to make a meaningful impact in the community. Passion, flexibility, and a strong commitment to the wellbeing of children and youth define their approach. **The Role** As a Mental Health Group Clinician, you will lead therapy groups for children, adolescents, and parents, significantly contributing to reduced wait times for mental health services and enhancing the well-being of families. This role allows you to creatively develop and run group sessions in collaboration with a dedicated multidisciplinary team. We value passion and dedication to create positive change within the community. **Qualifications**: **Education and Experience Requirements** - Ph.D. in Clinical/Applied Psychology, Counselling Psychology, OR PsyD, AND *registered with, or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia as a Psychologist. *Note: If you are registered as a Psychologist in another province, equivalencies for out of province applicants may be considered by the College of Psychologists of BC. Please contact the association for registration requirements in BC. - NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered. - Completion of a psychological pre-or post-doctoral internship of 1600 hours in a child and youth mental health or hospital setting with specialization in formal psychological assessment, diagnoses and treatment of mental health disorders. - Experience in clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. - Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services. Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).Preference may be given to applicants with the following: - Two (2) years or more experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services. - Recent experience providing services utilizing an outreach model. - One (1) year or more experience delivering groups for children and youth and their parents in a mental health setting. - One (1) year or more experience working with parents around issues related to parenting children and youth with complex mental health presentations. - Experience utilizing Dialectical/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
