We are currently looking for a Payroll Advisor to join our People and Culture team As a Payroll Advisor, you will accurately process union and non-union full-cycle Canadian and US payroll.

**You will contribute to our team by**:

- Processing full-cycle Canadian payroll using Workday (bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly).
- Processing bi-weekly US payroll using ADP.
- Auditing payroll reports for accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
- Validating and documenting employee changes/updates related to pay, pension, benefits, etc.
- Preparing remittances for CRA, union payments, garnishments, Workers’ Compensation and EHT.
- Responding to internal and external payroll inquiries in a timely manner; including monitoring the payroll inbox.
- Maintaining employee files to ensure all documentation related to employment is accurate and stored appropriately.
- Interpreting, analyzing, and complying with federal, provincial legislation/regulations and collective agreements.

**What you will bring to the role**:
**Education**:

- Completed High School Diploma or a related post-secondary diploma.
- Certification as a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) from the National Payroll Institute.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5-years of payroll experience. Experience with US payroll is preferred.
- Experience with Workday, ADP Workforce Now, and LAPP pension plan will be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of all payroll processes including provincial and federal regulations as well as employment legislation.
- Ability to interpret employment contracts, collective agreements, and corporate policies.
- Intermediate level MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize day-to-day responsibilities in order to meet deadlines.
- Customer-service oriented partnered with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong analytical skills and attention-to-detail.

**Working Conditions**:

- Hybrid Office/Work from home position; working 2 to 3 days a week in the office.

**Additional Details**:
Wage Range: $35.75 to $43.45
Union: CSU52
Hours of Work: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Clearance of Credit check is required for this position.
