Estimator/project Manager

**Job Summary**:
We are hiring for the role of Estimator/Project Manager. As an Estimator /Project Manager you will be responsible for preparing bid packages which include quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, project budgets, subtrade solicitation, competitive bid comparisons and document control. In this position, you will make use of your technical expertise along with your communication skills to coordinate with project and operational teams to respond to RFP’s.

**Job Requirements**
- Ideally a Journeyman / woman Certificate as a Millwright or Machinist.
- Experience with pumps & compressors is a bonus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Millwright/Estimator roll or similar industry.
- Technical knowledge of modern Millwright and Machining practices, techniques, and equipment.
- Experience with MS Office and estimating software.
- Strong communication skills & excellent customer relations.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with API standards.
- Standard safety tickets for an industrial work environment.

**Job Duties**
- Review bid packages and extract necessary elements required for millwright/machining scopes of work.
- Communicate with client to obtain any missing information or request clarifications where required.
- Review technical drawings to extract required specifications.
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments prepare cost estimates for equipment, materials and labour.
- Build proposed project timelines for manpower and equipment, coordinating resource availability with active projects.
- Submit bid package requirements to client.
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems to track RFP’s through to win/lost status.
- Actively reviews bid scopes for proper subcontractor compliance with project requirements.
