**Job Summary**
Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, the Strategic Sourcing Assistant (Co-op) will be responsible for assisting in sourcing projects, creating procurement strategies, data analysis for spend categories, contract T&C compliance and liaising with cross functional departments for cost reduction targets and supplier performance goals are met.

**Work Arrangement**: Hybrid, 3 days per week in office

**Work Term**: Winter 2026 (4 Months: Jan - Apr) or (8 Months: Jan - Aug)

**As a Strategic Sourcing Assistant, you will be**:

- Identifying suppliers and developing strategic relationships for Capital Equipment and MRO.
- Understanding market conditions and effectively communicating trends/forecasts to stakeholders.
- Supporting the RFP, RFQ, RFA and negotiation processes - with a focus on creating value.
- Working in conjunction with Legal and stakeholders to negotiate contract terms and conditions.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to effectively manage the supplier portfolio.
- Developing/executing category strategies, vendor pool and sourcing plan.
- Managing supplier performance. Developing and monitoring KPIs for key suppliers.Ensuring contract commitments are met and entered in ERP system.
- **Who are we looking for? Someone who**:

- Currently enrolled in a degree program and in good standing at an accredited college or university and pursuing a supply chain / business or engineering degree.
- Enrolled and eligible for a 4 or 8 month Co-op program for the Winter 2026 work term.
- General understanding of sourcing, category knowledge & supplier management experience.
- Organized and has skills to multi-task several projects with several team members.
- Self-starter, high initiative, persistent and curious.
- Possesses strong initiative to understand a problem and work independently to solve it.
- Previous work experience in a supply chain or operations environment preferred.
- Database skills and ERP experience is a plus.
- Language: English, basic French Language a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.Organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
