Participating within the multi-disciplinary team setting to ensure that the spiritual and religious needs of the residents, families and staff are being identified and addressed.
- Facilitating the provision of spiritual and religious care to the residents who live within Victoria Manor, their families and friends, and the team members employed by the home.
- Facilitating and co-ordinating the spiritual and religious care provided by community clergy, faith leaders and lay people who come into the home.
- Facilitating the provision of educational events related to spiritual care, for residents, families, team members, and community groups.
- Being available as a resource person for the team members of the facility;
- Co-ordinating and/or providing grief, bereavement and palliative care support for residents, families, and team members.
- Chairing the Spiritual Care Committee and ensuring that the committee meets quarterly
- Facilitating the provision of Memorial Services as agreed upon by the Spiritual and Religious Care Committee.
- Facilitating, as required, the co-ordination of crisis counselling by utilizing community linkages with appropriately trained resource personnel
- Co-ordinating the Spiritual Care Volunteers Annual Appreciation with the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Documenting services and resident responses as required by the facility and by the standards of Long Term Care.
- Conducting quality improvement reviews, participating in strategic planning activities, P.A.C. meetings and program reviews and evaluation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduation from a recognized university, Theological Seminary or appropriate equivalency.
- Training and/or experience in Gerontology and providing spiritual and religious care in a multi-faith context.
- Ordination or commissioning by one’s faith group, or equivalent.
- Endorsement by the appropriate authority in one’s faith group.
- Endorsement by the Ontario Multi-faith council on Spiritual and Religious Care.**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $27.48-$48.06 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Clergy & Chaplains: 1 year (preferred)
