**About the Role**:
The Contract Development Manager performs Sales Contract review with moderate to high risk to the business unit. Contract activity may be non-routine and require development of specialized contract vehicles and techniques to accomplish business goals and objectives. Where needed, you will communicate and implement new contract policies and processes or provide an assessment of required deviations from the established norm. This is a cross functional position affecting multiple business units in the organization.

**What will I do?**
- Prepare and review contracts, amendments and addendums for legal and key customers. Proactively review RFPs and bid solicitations to identify and mitigate company issues and concerns. Partner with OD attorneys and bid writers in creation of the RFP response proposal. Ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate policies by analyzing contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions. Determine negotiation strategy and partner with legal team on complex contractual issues. Lead all communication to legal, finance, pricing and operations. (75%)
- Oversee operation of all customer contracts within the organization. Identify areas of improvement and implement or recommend changes to improve contracts and the contract process. (5%)
- Work with Sales, Finance and Pricing as required ensuring contract performance and SOX compliance requirements. (10%)
- Manage the VP signature process with respect to legal customer contracts. (5%)
- Exercise initiative in identifying, defining and completing projects with limited supervision and demonstrate progressively improving problem solving and leadership skills. (5%)

**Where will I work?**

**You have**:

- A post-secondary diploma/degree, preferably a law degree/lawyer
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate legal support and/or contract development
- Ability/understanding of how to redline legal documents
- Proven leadership and motivational skills
- Solid business acumen and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate change in a collaborative team environment
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Microsoft Office Suite in particular Word for contract editing and redlining.
- Bilingualism in English/French an asset
