**Journalier/Labourer**

**Salary: $20 to $35**

**Requirements**:

- Valid class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
- High School Secondary 5 Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general construction labour work

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform physical labour such as using shovel, pick, wheelbarrow, rake, broom, etc
- Move materials to work sites, loading, unloading trucks
- Assist other tradespersons as directed by foreman/tradespersons
- Construct and disassemble concrete forms
- Level the earth to sub grade to desired specification
- Operate vibrating plates/jumping jacks/tampers to compact the sub grade
- Mix concrete and pour/spread concrete and asphalt using rake and shovel
- Assist operators to perform tasks (secure special attachments and to guide, the trucks, mechanical shovel, tractors, etc)
- Grease equipment as required
- Perform other activities at construction sites as directed
- Refer any major problems to the Foreman.
