Full details on our compensation and benefits value offering can be found below. **WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING** - Take responsibility for the investigation and resolution of unauthorized practice and misuse of title files, including high risk and complex files, by gathering the necessary evidence and communicating directly with the target of the concern in order to bring the target into compliance with the PGA. - Research issues that arise during the course of an enforcement investigation. Interview witnesses and complainants by telephone, video, or in-person, identify documents that would be valuable to the investigation and make document requests from external sources. - Locate and retain external experts to assess whether there has been a contravention of the PGA. - Work with internal and external stakeholders to analyze and develop strategies for the enforcement of particularly complex or novel types of enforcement files. - Assist in the development and implementation of new department policies, procedures, and resources. - Provide guidance the Unauthorized Practice Intake Analyst in responding to complex correspondence received in the enforcement inbox. - Act in a fair and unbiased manner and conduct a professional enforcement investigation at all times. - Other duties as assigned by management. **WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE** - 5-7 years experience conducting investigations, preferably working in a law firm, legal department, professional regulatory body or equivalent. - Bachelor's degree is required; knowledge of engineering and geoscience is an asset but not required. - Strong research, analytical, and project management skills and knowledge required to successfully manage files. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as a member of a team, as well as build relationships throughout the organization. - Ability to uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive situations. - Experience with Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. **WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU** Each member of our team contributes to public safety in BC and helps us deliver on our vision of "modern regulation for a resilient world."
