**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The Campus Life Coordinator is responsible for the provision of CSI’s services, events, and student experiences at Conestoga College’s Guelph and Milton campuses. This is accomplished through management of schedules and work for part-time/contract staff, directly and indirectly supporting customer service and events tasks, and cultivating relationships with college contacts.

The Campus Life Coordinator also provides supervision and direction to part-time and contract staff in the provision of student services, events, and experiences on the Guelph and Milton campuses of Conestoga College (and other locations as needed). In carrying out supervisory responsibilities, the Campus Life Coordinator must cultivate and maintain a diverse and inclusive environment in which the variety of participants’ backgrounds, experiences, places of origin, racial/ethnic identities, sexual identities, gender, ages, and more are heard, respected, and valued by everyone.

This position reports directly to the Campus Life Manager. In carrying out the duties of this position, a great deal of autonomy is exercised with a final overview by the Campus Life Manager. It is also important that the Campus Life Coordinator works extremely closely with the Campus Life Manager to ensure that they are up to date on the basic overall operations of CSI’s services. In all activities, it is crucial that the Campus Life Coordinator recognizes that service to students is a top priority.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Supervision of Part-Time/Contract Staff
- Day-to-day supervision of part-time and contract staff, including Campus Life Associates and Student Life Representatives, at their assigned campuses
- Supervision includes motivating staff, conducting performance reviews, and disciplining and terminating when needed in conjunction with the Campus Life Manager and Human Resources department
- Coordinate with applicable departments and schedule Student Life Reps to cover service hub shifts, promotion shifts, and event shifts as necessary
- Ensure quality customer service is being provided to the students of Conestoga College at all times
- Provide the Human Resources department and Sr. Manager, Student Life with an estimate of required employees needed for each upcoming semester
- Create and conduct job-specific training for all new and current staff who report to the Campus Life Coordinators, ensuring all legislated training and other necessary training is completed before working their first shift on the job
- Create and monitor weekly work schedules for the staff who report to the Campus Life Coordinators
- Edit and approve hours of work, submitting bi-weekly to the Human Resources department
- Plan and schedule regular staff meetings in conjunction with other department supervisors

Student Experience and Campus Life
- Ensure the provision of CSI’s student services, events, promotions, and other aspects of campus life and the student experience at the assigned campuses in accordance with CSI’s quality standards, budget, and strategic plan
- Ensure equipment, service hubs, gaming lounges, and other CSI workspaces are maintained, clean, accessible, and in good working order at all times
- Control and manage inventory for all CSI campus life operations at assigned campuses, including ordering and monitoring current inventory, researching new products and services to be offered, etc.
- Brainstorm and implement continuous improvements to programming and services offered by CSI to ensure operations meet the needs of students as per the BOD vision and Strategic Plan
- Support the Wellness department in the administration of the CSI’s Student Nutritional Access Program
- Support other CSI departments in the promotion and execution of other on-campus opportunities and engagements (such as peer-to-peer programming, clubs, events, etc.)
- Provide general campus information at assigned campuses
- Cover the Service Hub/Desk in the absence of part-time/cont
