**Position Overview**:
We're looking for a dedicated and reliable **Class 1 Truck Driver** to join our growing team at our busy trucking company and recycling center located on the Saanich Peninsula. In this role, you'll be responsible for deliveries to and from various locations across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland of BC. You'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while ensuring that our operations run smoothly while adhering to safety regulations and providing excellent service to our customers. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Hauling Operations**: Safely operate end dumps, pneumatic tanks, manual transmissions and B-Trains, hauling materials to and from various locations in Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland, BC regions
- **Route Management**: Follow assigned routes efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety guidelines and regulations.
- **Tech Usage**: Use dispatching software on your mobile device to manage route assignments, input information, and track deliveries in real-time.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols and WCB regulations. Maintain a safe driving record and perform vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
- **Vehicle Maintenance**: Ensure that the vehicle is maintained in good working order and report any issues to the Fleet, Transportation and Logistics Manager for timely resolution.
- **Customer Service**: Interact professionally with customers and site personnel to ensure smooth deliveries and excellent customer satisfaction.

**Qualifications**:

- Class 1 Driver's License is required.
- Previous experience with pneumatic tanks is an asset.
- Previous experience operating end dumps is an asset.
- Competent in driving manual transmissions
- Comfortable using mobile devices and dispatching software to manage routes and input information.
- Safe driving record is a must.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good communication skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to manage long drives and potentially heavy lifting during loading/unloading.
- Availability to work various hours and some statutory holidays due to varying routes, though we offer flexibility on days off during the week.
- Knowledge of safety procedures in trucking and recycling environments.
