Gas Station Attendant Overview: We are seeking a friendly and customer service-oriented Gas Station Attendant to join our team. As a Gas Station Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling cash transactions, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the gas station. Duties: - Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner - Assist customers with fueling their vehicles and provide instructions on how to use the pumps - Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station, including restocking merchandise and cleaning fueling areas - Monitor fuel levels and alert management when refills are needed - Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure and filling windshield washer fluid - Provide information to customers regarding gas station services, promotions, and products - Upsell additional items such as car washes or snacks to increase sales revenue - Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner - Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment Qualifications: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus - Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor - Experience in retail sales or technical sales is preferred - Cash handling experience is required - Organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy - Basic knowledge of fuel pumps and POS systems is an asset - Must be fluent in English We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career advancement within our organization.
