**Position Overview**:
The Grocery Order Clerk is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, placing accurate orders with suppliers, and ensuring products arrive on time to meet customer demand. This role also involves operating the store’s POS (Point of Sale) system to update product information, including price changes, and maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records. Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Review inventory levels regularly to determine ordering needs.
- Prepare and place purchase orders with approved vendors and suppliers.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Track and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely arrival and resolve any discrepancies.
- Operate the POS system to update product details, including price changes and new item entries.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, pricing, and inventory records in the store’s system.
- Monitor product availability and suggest alternatives when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with store policies, health regulations, and vendor agreements.
- Assist customer for their ordering quiries.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Previous retail or grocery store experience preferred.
- Experience operating a POS system and performing price changes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel or inventory software experience is an asset).
- Strong communication skills for supplier and team interaction.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

**Physical Requirements**:

- May require standing for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of boxes up to 40 lbs.

**Compensation**:

- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
- Employee discount on store purchases.

Pay: From $15.80 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
