**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Operate trucks and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
**Qualifications**
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
