**Are you a professional, positive, and attentive caregiver who has a passion for helping others in the community? Pacific Coast Health Services is currently looking for a casual Live-in Caregiver for a client in the Victoria area.**

**You must have previous experience in health care or with providing supportive assistance to someone in need.**

**Position Summary**:
As a Live-in Caregiver at Pacific Coast, you will work in our clients' home helping them to live their lives. We are looking for a live-in caregiver who can cover a vacation leave. This position is for 5 live-in shifts per week that start on Sunday at 3 PM and end on Friday morning at 11 AM. This opportunity is for 7 weeks from September 10th to October 25th. These **24-hour shifts** each have a 4 hour break. The Caregiver will eat and sleep at the client's home. Caregiver must be willing to work in a home with a pet. This position may also have the potential for additional hours beyond October.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Light housekeeping
- Personal care, dressing, grooming
- Assistance in the bathroom, shower
- Meal preparation
- Assistance with feeding
- Companionship
- Possibly accompany client to appointments

*Will receive additional training from Pacific Coast to provide:

- Medication assistance
- Lifts and transfers
- Special care needs

**About You**:

- You have experience caring for someone at home or in a facility
- You have a valid certification in CPR and First Aid
- A certification, or health related degree, from BC or another province or country is also an asset
- You have the ability to obtain a Clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search upon hire
- You can provide two references who will tell us you are reliable, punctual, and committed
- You have a caring, helpful attitude and you are a positive, team player
- You have a reliable vehicle, or are on a bus route, and have cell phone
