ABHI is looking for a committed, experienced and dynamic Massage Therapy Instructor with a strong communication and interpersonal skills to teach and provide an excellent learning experience to our students that will equip them to be job ready in the field of Massage Therapy. Under general direction, the instructor is expected to help in the curriculum development, program improvement and facilitate delivery of a quality education.

**Responsibilities**:

- Teaches and implements the total curriculum, as assigned by, and under the direction and supervision of your direct supervisor.
- Create dynamic and engaging classrooms to facilitate adult learners in achieving their learning objectives both in the classroom and laboratory settings.
- Is instrumental in identifying individual and collective learning needs of assigned students, being cognizant of the physical, mental and emotional status of the learners.
- Maintains records of student progress and performance, attendance and grades.
- Prepares, administers, and grades written and practical examinations during course of study fairly.
- Devises written lesson plans and implements them through lecture, demonstration, discussion, etc.
- Discusses with students their concerns and/or problems directly or indirectly related to learning experience.
- Participates in regular faculty related meetings.
- Implement and adhere to all college policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Must possess a Degree or Diploma in Massage Therapy or related field and Certification as a Pharmacy Assistant.
- Must have at least three (3) years work experience as Registered Massage Therapist
- Minimum of one (1) year instructional experience or holds a training certificate in adult education (asset).
- Current knowledge of local labor markets specific to program needs.
- Active License or Registration

- Passionate and driven to make a difference in the student’s lives.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of a diverse group of students.
- Ability to learn and use technology for learning experience enhancement

Applicants do not necessarily live in Red Deer.

He/she should be willing to travel to Red Deer campus for laboratory
