Effing Seafoods is entering a bold new era with **Effing Surf & Turf** — and we need a **Team Captain** to help lead the charge This full-time role is perfect for someone who loves great food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows how to inspire a crew. As our Surf & Turf Team Captain, you’ll keep operations running smooth, coach your teammates, and make sure every customer walks away with an unforgettable Effing experience.

Whether it’s the day’s freshest catch or a sizzling cut of beef, you’ll be guiding the team that delivers it all with service, quality, and knowledge.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Lead the Crew**: Set the standard on the floor, mentoring and motivating teammates to bring their best every shift.
- **Customer Experience**: Create memorable interactions by helping customers choose from our Surf & Turf offerings — from seafood to steak.
- **Operations Management**: Oversee daily tasks including orders, cash handling, and store organization.
- **Food Preparation & Safety**: Ensure food is prepared with care and all safety standards are followed to the highest level.
- **Sales & Growth**: Drive sales by promoting specials, upselling, and encouraging add-ons that enhance the Surf & Turf experience.
- **Scheduling & Delegation**: Support management with scheduling, task assignments, and team coverage.
- **Inventory Control**: Track stock levels, assist with ordering, and keep displays looking their best.
- **Problem Solving**: Handle customer concerns and operational challenges with confidence and professionalism.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with leadership to implement new ideas and keep Effing Surf & Turf growing strong.

**Qualifications**:

- Leadership or supervisory experience in retail, food service, or hospitality.
- Strong math and organizational skills with attention to accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety practices (seafood/meat handling a bonus).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach a team.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- A positive, team-first attitude with flexibility to adapt.
- Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays.
- TUESDAY TO SATURDAY (9-5PM)

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
