As a growing organization, we are currently looking for an Assistant Sales Manager with great _**career experience**_ in retail and_**retail management**_ who also has a _**passion for dance**_, to oversee the daily sales floor operations of our store. Our Assistant Manager makes an integral impact everyday; on our customers, our team and our company. Diverse knowledge of business areas such as sales, marketing and merchandising is an additional asset. As the Assistant Manager you will ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations; you will lead, guide, teach, merchandise, inspire, manage product, replenish, problem solve, address customer issues and ensure that our staff give great customer service.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**
- Reporting directly to the Store Manager
- Overseeing the daily operations of the sales floor
- Greeting and assisting customers in a way that models exemplary customer service to other staff
- Providing direction, product knowledge, guidance and instruction to all store associates as required
- Assisting the Store Manager in the execution of all recruitment activities, and new hire onboarding
- Identifying and resolving customer issues in a timely manner
- Assisting the Store Manager in the achievement of company standards, policies and procedures
- Performing store opening and closing procedures including counting register funds, opening and closing registers and securing facility

Work requires moderate physical effort. While performing duties of this job you will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. You will frequently lift, sort, carry, and place merchandise and supplies of varying sizes weighing up to 20lbs without assistance. Work requires climbing up and down ladders, and working at heights.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail sales: 3 years (required)
- Dance: 5 years (required)
