Position: Junior Geologist

Location: Hixon, BC (near Prince George and Quesnel)

Work schedule: Field rotations (length TBD)

**Overview**

Come be a part of our growing team at Golden Cariboo Located in the community of Hixon, BC, we are working to build upon a new gold discovery in the historic Cariboo Gold District. The Company currently has an opportunity for a Junior Geologist to join the exploration team with a primary focus on its year-round diamond drilling program.

**Responsibilities**:

- Core logging and geoteching of drill core
- Implementation of QA/QC procedures
- Data entry and data validation
- Assisting in drill rig management as required
- Basic field work
- Heavy lifting
- Participating in and adhering to health and safety programs
- Other core shack and field duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Geology (or similar)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in a camp setting for extended periods of time
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Eligible to Work in Canada

**Additional Qualifications (preferred)**:

- Previous experience in mineral exploration would be considered an asset
- First Aid

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
