Our corporate client is looking to hire local and foreign workers for the Truss Maker position (LMIA AVAILABLE) in a Lumber company based out in Ontario, Canada:
The Truss Maker (TM) receives direction from Lumber Foreman (LF). The TM focuses on the quality, productivity, and safety. Assists a Saw Operator, Grader, Order Maker or SF drivers on handling and sorting material. The TM may also cut and handle material to fill production or customer requirements. The TM keeps the work area tidy and orderly, for ease of locating product and filling orders. The TM work entails walking, bending, lifting, standing, body twisting, reaching, lowering, pulling and pushing material during the duration of the shift. The TM efficiently and effectively maximize the quality and quantity, and minimize waste

Working Conditions
- Able and willing to work construction hours (7:30-5:00 weekdays and Saturday mornings and Stat holidays) as business needs dictates, in a fast paced environment with continuous change
- Able to work with many different teams
- Require regular use of tools and industrial equipment where coordination and speed is required
- Able to work in a plant or lumber yard environment with noise, debris, unsecured materials etc. where attention, caution, and care must be exercised to avoid personal injury
- Able to wear protective equipment like hard hats, safety boots, safety glasses and earplugs
- Requires physical stamina to stand throughout the shift and lift moderately heavy items
Experience
- 1 - 2 years’ experience working as a Truss Maker industry experience is an asset.
Acquired Skills
- General knowledge of lumber and building products
- Able to perform manual tasks

**Hours of operation: Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., occasional over-time is required to meet deadlines**:
