**Role Overview: A Floor Technician is responsible for ensuring that all floor surfaces, including carpets, tiles, vinyl,**

and wood floors, are well-maintained, clean, and in good condition. They perform a variety of floor care duties,

including cleaning, waxing, and buffing repairing floors.

**What you will do**:

- Sweep, mop, and scrub floors to remove dirt, stains, and debris.
- Vacuum carpets and upholstery to remove dust and dirt.
- Strip old wax from floors using specialized machines.
- Buff floors to restore their shine and enhance their appearance.
- Report any damaged tiles
- Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment is kept in good working condition and properly cleaned after use.
- Ensure proper safety precautions are followed while handling cleaning chemicals and machinery.
- Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
- Report any issues related to floor maintenance or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks such as steam cleaning or carpet shampooing.
- Perform periodic floor care tasks based on specific schedules or as needed.
- Provide recommendations for specific floor treatments or repairs.
- Assist with other general cleaning tasks as required
- Such other similar and related duties as may be reasonably required by the Employer from time to time

**Qualifications**:

- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot floor damage and cleanliness issues.
- Physical Stamina: The job may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with various floor care machines and cleaning solutions.
- Time Management: Ability to complete tasks efficiently within a designated timeframe.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safe cleaning practices, including handling chemicals and machinery.
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or floor maintenance work is preferred
