Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (HET)

**Job Duties**
- Perform mechanical repairs and service on coil tubing injectors, heavy trucks, oilfield, and mobile equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical systems, including reading schematics.
- Conduct CVIP inspections and sign off on certifications.
- Diagnose faults using computerized tools; repair, test, and verify performance.
- Perform incidental welding and component overhauls.
- Complete and document work orders, timecards, and repair reports accurately.
- Support the development of apprentices and junior technicians.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tools, repair techniques, and technology.

**Requirements**:

- **Must hold a Journeyman’s certificate or have Red Seal.**
- Valid Alberta Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate or Red Seal Certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy-duty mechanical repair.
- Current CVIP certification.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 is an asset).
- Strong diagnostic ability in hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Experience using SAP or similar software is an asset.
- Able to mentor others and support a cohesive team environment.
- Must own a complete set of heavy-duty tools.
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs) and working outdoors.

**Work Conditions**
- In-person role with 24/7 availability as required.
- Combination of shop-based and field work.
- PPE must be worn on-site.
- Exposure to equipment hazards and construction environments.
- Overtime and occasional travel may be required.

Work Location: In person

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
