The Community Engagement Branch supports the broad nonprofit/voluntary sector to build and strengthen its human and financial capacity by:
- Providing financial assistance;
- Building the adaptive, leadership, management, and technical capacity of organizations through facilitation and training on governance, leadership, strategic planning, fund development, collaborations, and more.
- Identifying and addressing broader nonprofit sector issues and initiatives through gathering and analyzing meaningful data on the sector, and undertaking research on key sector trends to inform and set policy direction;
- Building cross-sector partnerships and collaborations to achieve shared goals; and
- Building awareness of the critical role of the nonprofit sector in fostering a strong Alberta economy, and healthy and vibrant communities.
The Community Grants Unit is looking for one (1) temporary Community Grants Coordinator, at the Program Services 3 classification, located in Edmonton.
**Role Responsibilities**:
The Community Grants Coordinator supports the efficient delivery of the Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) Small and Large, Community Initiatives Program (CIP) Project-Based and other grant programs as needed.
These programs have a combined budget of more than $75 million annually.
Reporting to the Program Manager Community Grants, the Community Grants Coordinator:
- Contributes significantly to the effective delivery of the CFEP Small and Large and CIP Project-Based grant programs.
- Supports Public Information Officers with accurate and current grant program information and supports Community Grants Advisors in the review process, evaluation and funding recommendation during the grant cycle.
- Supports grant program delivery using knowledge of systems thinking, research and analysis, project management, program delivery, policy implementation, evaluation and capacity building.
- Identifies issues, gaps and efficiencies for the program improvements during the grant and applicant lifecycle.
- Contributes to the effective functioning of the Community Grant Unit through the effective management of time and active participation and achievement of business and operational goals.
- Understands and supports the various legislation, policies and Acts that govern the work of the Unit.

**Qualifications**:
University graduation in a related field (i.e. social sciences, humanities, business) and two years of related experience is required. Related experience must include:
