About the Role:
The Information Technology (IT) Governance Specialist will support AGF’s enterprise Business Continuity Management, Service Management and Third-Party Risk Management Programs.
Your Responsibilities:
AGF’s Business Continuity Management Program is designed to:
- identify potential threats to the firm and their potential impacts to business operations.
- provide a framework for building organizational resilience.
- safeguard the interests of AGF’s key stakeholders and brand.
- develop, maintain, and test AGF’s Business Continuity Plans.
- Understand AGF’s business operations.
- Develop and maintain Business Continuity, Pandemic, and Crisis Management Plans.
- Assist and coordinate the regular testing of plans.
- Periodically update department Business Impact Analyses.
- Coordinate and assist with crisis or incident response activities.
- Support and maintain the ‘critical assets inventory’ (i.e., Crown Jewels).
- Collaborate with AGF’s Security Operations in the event of a material cybersecurity incident.
- Coordinate and support BCP awareness training for staff.
- Maintain the BCP intranet site.
- Respond to RFPs and due diligence requests regarding the BCP program.
- Coordinate with IT and Corporate Facilities to ensure disaster recovery and recovery sites are integrated into the BCP.
- Assist with the preparation of program status updates to senior management and support corporate communications with any external reporting requirements.
- Produce relevant business metrics.
AGF’s Service Management program is designed to:
- provide a strategic approach to the creation, delivery, support, and management of IT services to the firm.
- Assist the Service Management team.
- Support the Service Management functions.
- Asset, Change, Incident and Problem Management.
- Mentor team members for timely completion of assigned projects.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss to incidents/issues.
- Perform root cause analysis of problems & incidents and develop resolution plans.
- Work with the team to develop problem management and service improvement plans.
- Create and maintain documentation for service management activities.
- Act as an escalation contact for customers.
- Communicate department goals and procedures to team members.
- Produce relevant business metrics.
- Provide support for new releases and deployments.
AGF’s Third-Party Risk Management program is designed to:
- Ensure contractual obligations and compliance with regulatory requirements are observed.
- Leverage and maximize third-party relationships to reduce costs, improve service and adopt third-party solution enhancements and innovations.
- Mitigate risks associated with the third-party relationships, solutions, and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with trusted third parties.
- Support and assist with third-party risk management functions:
- Planning
- Due diligence/procurement
- Vendor Management tracking
- Contract negotiation
- Ongoing third-party performance review and assessment
- Termination of third-party relationships/contracts
- Support and assist the IT Governance Manager with reporting requirements.
Your Qualifications:
- 5-6 years IT governance experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
- A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment across all departments and in a hybrid work environment.
- May occasionally require after-hours support.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Post-secondary education is preferred.
- IT Audit and risk management backgrounds are preferred.
