The Tax specialist will participate in all taxation aspects in relation to accounting and financial operations of Groupe Dermapure. This position provides the opportunity to participate in a broad range of tax-related work requiring qualitative and quantitative analysis and assessment. In addition, he/she will perform various tasks related to tax accounting in accordance with established procedures and prescribed deadlines with the various provincial and federal tax laws of Canada.

**Main responsabilities**
- Assist in the preparation and review of Canadian corporate tax returns.
- Assist in the preparation of the tax provision.
- Participate in sales and corporate tax audits including the preparation of the required documentation and answer questions from auditors.
- Ensures tax compliance through internal controls and monitors relevant processes.
- Responsible for the integrity of tax accounts on the balance sheet.
- Ensure the accuracy of sales tax data in the points of sales systems (Zenoti, etc.).
- Identify and implement new opportunities to reduce taxes.
- Maintain and revise the documentation of tax positions relating to sales tax, corporate tax and various investment tax credits.
- Advise on corporate income taxes and withholding taxes and reporting and ensuring that the accounting team understands the different tax systems.
- Prepare monthly sales tax returns.
- Ensure clinics are in compliance with federal and provincial tax laws and regulations.
- Compile and analyze information required for federal and provincial income tax compliance.
- Prepare requests for access to federal and provincial taxes for acquired entities.
- Liaise with the integration team and legal counsel regarding entities to be merged and/or dissolved.
- Research and analysis of various tax issues.
- Develop practical and business-oriented approaches to the company’s tax situation and arriving at appropriate conclusions.
- Interact with internal and external clients and other team members.

**Professionnal skills and experience required**
- Hold a university degree in accounting or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar function (an asset); or minimum of 2 years’ experiences in a public accounting firm.
- CPA Professional Accounting designation.
- Excellent knowledge of sales and tax laws across Canada.
- Bilingual* (French/English) both written and oral.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and growing environment.
- Be able to handle pressure, priorities and peak periods.
- Demonstrate team spirit and collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation. Ability to perform tasks in an orderly, rigorous, organized and efficient manner.
- Be proactive and demonstrate a strong sense of autonomy, perseverance and flexibility.
- Demonstrate integrity, discretion and ethics.

*It is necessary to be bilingual (FR/EN) for this position due to the exchanges with other workers and suppliers of Quebec.
