**Objective**:
We are hiring a Swim Instructors to provide swimming lessons for all ages and teach swimming techniques, water safety while demonstrating and teaching various swimming strokes, developing swimming lessons for various skill levels 1-6 and evaluating the swimming students to assess progress and to plan future lessons.

Tuesday - 5:00pm - 9:30pm.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing effective swimming lessons based on student skill level
- Instructing individuals or small groups of students in the water
- Demonstrating various swimming techniques
- Observing students performing the strokes and providing feedback to help them improve
- Providing constant supervision to keep all swimmers safe
- Completing documentation and deciding when to move students to the next level
- Enforcing water safety and pool rules
- Sharing feedback with parents on the sessions

**Required Skills and Qualification**:

- Swim Instructor Certification
- National Lifeguard Certification
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C certified
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Strong swimming skills
- Mastery of various swimming techniques (e.g., freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly)
- Ability to break down swimming techniques into understandable steps
- Knowledge of water safety protocols, including rescue techniques and emergency procedures
- Safety-minded approach
- Patience, compassion and encouragement
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Alertness and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work with all ages and skill levels
- Observational and assessment skills
- Teaching skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 4.5 per week

- Swim Instructor: 1 year (required)
- Lifeguard: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- N.L.S. Certification (required)
- First Aid/CPR-C Certification (required)
- Swim Instructor Certification (required)
