Land Agent

As a member of the Taylor Land team, the Land Agent would be responsible for projects near Kingston, Ontario, and the broader Eastern Ontario region.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Land Agent's License
- Agricultural background or 2 years post-secondary diploma in a related field
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a Surface Land Agent
- Experience or familiarity with agriculture, construction, environmental issues, public relations, and public awareness
- Resides in and familiarity with Eastern Ontario is preferred.
- Daily use of personal computer and vehicle
- A valid Commissioner of Oaths within the Province of Alberta
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acquire and surface rights for a wide range of projects including but not limited to oil and gas, utilities, telecommunications and government clientele
- Liaise with landowners, industry stakeholders, and client representatives
- Negotiate and complete damage assessments, rent reviews and temporary use agreements
- Keep informed on trends and items of interest relating to all aspects of land including but not limited to compensation, landowner concerns, and industry developments
- Assure quality control of all documentation and deliverables
- Maintain information and tracking systems
- Execute site selection, negotiations and acquisitions for telecommunications clients
- Work with project managers, land administrators and clients as required
LOCATION
This position will be remote, with work being in Eastern Ontario.
