Tire and Wheel Shop Foreman/supervisor

We are looking for an experienced supervisor with a background in the automotive tire and wheel industry who is creative and responsible. Experience in warehouse and logistics is a definite asset.

**JOB TITLE: Senior Shop Supervisor**

**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Senior Shop Supervisor is responsible for the effective supervision of service and warehouse department staff to ensure that quality standards and productivity requirements are met. Responsibilities include the training of employees in service methods, safety, company policies and procedures, as well as the identification and correction of workmanship issues as well as health and safety concerns. The Senior Shop Supervisor will act in the capacity of a Senior Tire Technician as necessary.

**General Duties**
- Supervises the activities of service department and warehouse employees
- Instructs employees on best practices and efficient workflow
- Perform wheel and tire removal, balancing, inflating and re-installing repaired or replacement tires for all passenger and light truck vehicles.
- Diagnose damage, assess repairability, select and complete safe tire repair procedures as appropriate
- Maintains and distributes up-to-date service requirement information to shop employees
- Ensures quality of workmanship through verification of services
- Assigns work requiring completion to shop and warehouse employees as necessary
- Ensures compliance with company standards for quality workmanship, safety, cost control and waste reduction
- Acts as a liaison between service and warehouse employees and company management
- Ensures the timely completion of work and coordinates work activities with other areas of the company as required
- Resolves employee issues and recommends measures to improve productivity and service quality
- Training of employees in service methods, safety, and company policies and procedures
- Oversees and conducts routine and non routine maintenance and repairs to shop tools and equipment
- Oversees shipping and receiving functions and the accurate handling and sharing of purchase orders, supplier invoices, packaging slips and other paperwork
- Recommends personnel actions such as hiring and promotions to company management
- Performs role of a Senior Tire Technician as necessary

**Customer Service**
- Provide product and service information to prospective customers in a professional and respectful manner
- Assist store management and sales personnel on new and used wheel and tire sales

**Other Duties**
- Perform physical stock checks of all inventory at least once a year (year-end inventory)
- Overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of the work area and premises as needed
- Other duties and day to day activities that may arise

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tire and wheel installation is required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Shop Supervisor role or equivalent work experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Decisiveness, initiative, attention to detail, and high accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- People management skills, including the ability to explain ideas, delegate work, motivate, and lead and inspire members of the team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
