**Position: Quality manager**

**Job Purpose**:Assure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems, validating processes, providing documentation as well as managing staff.

**Responsibilities**

Include but are not limited to:

- Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
- Understand key automotive customers' quality system and supplier portal websites (FCA, GM, Ford and etc.)
- Able to complete level 3 PPAP and lead IATF and SQF audits.
- Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain a quality plan to bring the Novo’s Quality System and Policies into compliance.
- Effectively interact with production teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products.
- Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
- Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
- Supervise technical staff in carrying out tests and checks.
- Write technical and management system reports.
- Coordinate and integrate together staff of different disciplines. Drive the group to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.
- Persuade reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods.
- Manage and maintain the Company’s Quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes, and finished goods.
- Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems pertaining to QA/QC.
- Set QA compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved.
- Maintain awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
- Assess the product specifications of Novo and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements.
- Establish clearly defined quality methods and standards for staff to apply
- Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
- Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
- Liaising with customer’s auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer’s specifications.
- Establish standards of service for customers
- Prepare clear explanatory documents such as customers charters

**Qualifications**
- College diploma or University degree required.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Assurance in the automotive industry. Preferably in injection moulding.
- Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers or distributors.
- Experience in quality management systems and quality system audits.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000/ IATF16949

**Type of Employment**: Full time, permanent.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Quality Assurance in the automotive industry: 5 years (preferred)
