This role is for anyone who loves food service

We are Ottawa’s destination for Montreal-style bagels, hot out of the wood burning oven every day. Our kitchen specializes in made-to-order hot and cold _Bagelsammies_, tapping into our broad assortment of European deli meats, our own house-roasted meats and made from scratch sides and condiments.

In this role you will be everything “restaurant and kitchen” in the front of house as our Hospitality Expert.

You will be responsible for:

- taking customer restaurant orders quickly and accurately in our POS system and handling cash transactions
- ensuring the kitchen tickets are clear and all special information and modifications are accurately entered
- delivering take-out and dine-in food orders to customers
- bussing and clearing tables as needed and generally maintaining the dining room area clean and well-stocked
- providing customers with expert recommendations and suggestions, displaying excellent knowledge of our menu and food offering
- engaging with restaurant customers to inform and educate them regarding other products available within the store at large, promotions, specials and store events
- greeting and helping to direct customers within the store, displaying excellent product knowledge and helping to facilitate traffic within the store at peak times
- providing support to the kitchen team as needed to reduce bottlenecks, troubleshoot & clarify food order tickets, clear and clean dishes, etc.
- proactively seeking customer feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction as tables are cleared and the dining area is maintained
- providing support to other front of house areas as needed to address customer flow at the bagel and deli counters

If you have great communication skills, a ready smile and friendly disposition and enjoy interacting with customers, this role is for you. You have excellent problem solving skills and are confident in handling customer concerns and complaints quickly and positively. You thrive in a fast-paced and hectic environment and respond with a high energy level.

We are looking for both part time and full time staff members with availability weekday mornings through mid-day and on weekends.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

**Salary**: $16.50-$17.50 per hour
