**Job Description: Resident Manager - 200-Unit Apartment Building**

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Resident Manager to oversee the daily operations and management of a 200-unit apartment building in Chilliwack, BC. The Resident Manager will be responsible for ensuring the property is well-maintained, residents’ needs are met, and the building operates efficiently. This is a live-in position requiring exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Tenant Relations**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage tenant move-ins and move-outs, including conducting inspections and processing paperwork.
- Enforce building rules and regulations to maintain a safe and respectful community.
- Schedule tenant events and socials for in-building community events.
- **Building Maintenance and Operations**:

- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff or external contractors for timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure common areas (hallways, elevators, lobby, amenity rooms, mail rooms, parking, etc.) are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Manage scheduling and use of common areas and amenity rentals.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Collect rental and payment documentation as required.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant leases, rent payments, and maintenance requests.
- Prepare reports on building operations as required by the property owner or management company.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Be available to respond to emergencies (e.g., plumbing leaks, fire alarms) and coordinate appropriate actions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- **Leasing and Marketing**:

- Coordinate with the property owner/management company to market vacancies effectively.
- **Compliance and Legal Requirements**:

- Ensure the property complies with local, provincial, and federal housing laws.
- Address tenant disputes or legal issues in collaboration with property management or legal advisors.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in property management, building maintenance, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with basic computer software, including property management systems.
- Knowledge of local rental regulations and building safety codes.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Ability to handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Availability to live on-site and be on-call for emergencies.
- A valid driver’s license may be required.

**Compensation**:
