**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT**:

- Maintenance of all systems related to plumbing system, fixtures and components, e.g. hot water heating, cooling, and domestic water systems.
- Installation of new equipment and alterations to existing equipment and systems.
- Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
- Repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, and controls.
- Install, repair, and maintain sinks and toilets.
- Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Complete and submit regulation paperwork, e.g. backflow testing.
- Perform other assigned duties that are within the area of knowledge and skills as required
- Respond to and complete all assigned work orders in a timely fashion, using computerized work order management system (Ebase)
- Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials.
- Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation.
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and best practice
- Must have the ability to read, interpret and revise drawings, specifications, and Plumbing Code material
- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must hold a valid Ontario Driver’s license. Consideration given to those who possess a Gas Fitter 1 or Gas Fitter 2 Provincial Certification and Cross Connection Control Specialist

This is a full time, permanent and unionized position.

**HOURS**:40 hours/week; Monday-Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

**LOCATION**:Maintenance Shop - 157 McCormack Drive, Thorold, ON

**RATE OF PAY**:$24.04 - $ 28.35/hourly

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.04-$28.35 per hour
