Event Coordinator

The Marquis Gardens is looking to hire for the event coordinator position. This individual must have a minimum of 2 year’s experience in the hospitality industry and must be able to manage large groups. You will be responsible for all aspects of the event. This includes but is not limited to:
- Understanding the requirements for each event
- Review BEOs before the actual event
- Ensuring the appropriate cutlery, plates décor etc are in the room
- Introducing yourself to the client for the day
- Being there for any question the client has
- Coordinate timing with client and kitchen
- Be organized and have high attention to detail
- Make sure all products the client has requested are available
- Able to work in a fast past environment by being flexible and adaptable
- Oversee the event happenings and act quickly to resolve any problems
- Ability to delegate and empower effectively
- Be a team player
