**About the Support Care Worker Position**

Full or Flexible positions are available in the Muskoka Region.

As part of the TLC team, you provide essential service to our clients when they need it most. Your presence makes a positive difference to the people we serve.

TLC offers a variety of opportunities in Retirement Residences and individual client homes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- For Home Care Clients, provide a range of services from housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, personal care, transportation to appointments or outings
- For Retirement Residences work as part of their team to meet the needs of the residents living in the home
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Support Worker
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Understanding of Mobile apps and online programs

**Have, or willing to obtain**:

- Current Vulnerable Police Check within last 6 months
- Current Tuberculosis Test within last 1 year
- Ministry of Labour WHMIS, AODA & 4 Step Health and Safety Certificates

**Assets**
- Current First Aid/CPR
- Knowledge of Retirement Residence policies and procedures
- Food Service Handlers Certificate

**Salary**: $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
