OSP Field Data & Design Technician

**DESCRIPTION**

You are primarily responsible for supporting the National design team by executing various field-based activities which are essential for the successful design, permitting and construction of
Telecommunication networks. When not performing field duties, you possess the ability to support the
OSP Design team through drafting and preliminary design functions.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain knowledge of current OSP design principles and industry standards. Perform work in compliance with up-to-date Safety Codes, Electric Codes, customer practices and procedures. Use excellent written and verbal communication in a professional manner to engage with home and building owners, clients, contractors, and management.
- Perform field assessments to review and validate existing and proposed architecture for accuracy.

**ATTRIBUTES**:

- Aptitude for technology with proficient working knowledge of current computer operating systems and software. Ability to use AutoCAD to draft concept designs and Bluebeam to markup PDF proposals.
- Perform work with mínimal supervision while displaying ability to communicate and collaborate with other team members.
- Maintains ownership of a project, able to make reasoned and sound decisions. Possesses excellent time management skills demonstrated through fulfilling budget and timeline targets.
- Highly detail-oriented, self-starter individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Able to stay organized and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Graduate of an Engineering or Technical program; EIT or CET.
- Telecommunications or Utility Construction. OSP Design.
- Drafting & Design
- GIS/Topo Survey
