Junior Financial Controller

SDI is a progressive industrial overhead door manufacturer looking for a junior controller to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting, and financial tasks to support the Accounting Department and ensure the daily operations run accurately and efficiently. This position reports directly to the CEO.

The following is a brief overview of the position; however, the employee is expected to assist other staff as required from time to time in various duties as needed.
- Monthly government remittances
- Process annual corporate taxes
- Manage bank accounts
- Prepare payment files and process ACH or wire payments
- Post payment to vendor acts
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Prepare month end closings & provide the monthly reports
- Year end reports to accountants
- Year end adjustments journal entries
- Monthly inventory and depreciation calculations
- Yearly reconciliation of government filing
- Profit and loss creation/improvements
- Develop strategies to improve processes

**Requirements**:

- Understanding of PNL Statement
- Budget analysis
- Cash flow cycles
- Excellent command of English Language in written and verbal
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish or French - an asset

Personal Qualifications:

- Positive and passionate about work
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Highly organized and efficient
- Comfortable with Technology
- Interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
